The Church of the Sacred Heart has enjoyed a long and illustrious musical tradition which has continued, more or less unbroken since the opening of the Church in l887. Nowadays our musical activity centres around the Solemn Latin Mass at 11.15am on Sundays, but in addition we provide music for the English Liturgy on the last Sunday of each month, on Feast Days, and for other Special Services. The repertory, which is constantly expanding, both in Latin and English, is a wide one, spanning five centuries of Church music. The Choir has around 20 members and meets for rehearsals on Wednesdays at 7.30pm and on Sundays at 9.45am. New members are always welcome.
