Families with a Disabled Child
The quarterly Mass for Families with a Disable Child took place on Sunday 16th March. On previous occasions some of the parents spoke from the pulpit about the joys & sorrows of the families bringing up a disabled child. On this occasion Martin Selo teenage brother of Sebastian spoke about being a sibling in such a family. It is always very moving & inspiring as well as a privilege to be allowed to have some insight into their lives.
After Mass the families & many parishioners met in the Parish Hall for a party. This one took the form of an Irish Evening with Kincorragh Academy of Dancing (contact no.020 8544 9829) & dancers form the Irish Club in Hartfield Road Wimbledon.
Smoked salmon & Irish ham on soda bread washed down with Gaelic Coffee, wine & lots of tea & coffee nourished a very enjoyable evening. It was further entertained by the company of the Edge Hill Explorer (Venture) Scout's who also provided music from their band.
