The annual parish report has been published and is available here on the website or in hard copy from the back of church.
The report is published in advance of the annual Parish meetings which will take place after 6.30 pm Mass on Saturday 7 May and after all Masses on Sunday 8th May. The meetings are organised by the Parish Pastoral Council to report back on the key activities and initiatives of the past year and to gather feedback and collate the ideas of the parish in order to set the priorities for the Parish Pastoral Council for the next twelve months.
All parishioners are warmly invited to attend one of the parish meetings after mass which will take place in the Upper Hall (except after the 6.30pm on Saturday and the 8pm on Sunday which will be held in the lounge) and refreshments will be served.
Update 25 May: the parish accounts presented at the meetings are now also available on this website.
There is not mention of food or lunch
Normally the Parish Report is accompanied by lunch and the request to bring a plate of food...
Parish meetings on 7/8th May
This year we are reverting to the format which worked very well 2 years ago - that is holding a meeting after each mass over the weekend (except the 8.30am at the Sacred Heart Mass Centre) so as to give as many parishioners as possible the opportunity to come along and share their thoughts and ideas. Refreshments and light bites will be served at each meeting rather than having a shared lunch after the 12.45.
Parish accounts
Thank you for the helpful and interesting annual report. However, in addition to the Capital Appeal financial statement I would also like to see the financial statement for the Parish Revenue Accounts mentioned in the annual report. It is impossible to find out from this website what the latest state of affairs is since the last entry from the Finance Committee was made onWill these be presented at the meeting?
Hi Jenny, Yes I asked
Hi Jenny,
Yes I asked Catherine Edser a similar question and I gather the relevant people are doing their best to have the accounts ready for the meeting in some form at least.
