EDGEHILL FRIENDSHIP GROUP FOR OLDER PEOPLE

After Mass with Sacrament for the Sick on Friday 8 January 40 older people went into the Parish Hall for coffee and a glass of sherry. There followed over an hour of very lively conversation with peels of laughter - all this despite an ice covered car-park and very slippery roads.

Just after midday a two course hot lunch was served with wine. The delicious food was prepared by Angela Maher and tables waited on by Young Mothers from the Mother and Toddler Group. Everyone agreed it was a very happy party. Sadly 20 more people had booked but were unable to attend due to the inclement weather and terrible road conditions. Fr Hugh and Fr John  joined for lunch and Fr Michael could only stay for coffee. All this while Fr Keith was away visiting his family in the States

We look forward to meeting again on February 5th at 2.30 in the Parish Lounge when we will have a Quiz followed by refreshments. We look forward to our regular monthly meetings - watch this space for further details.
