lord of the dance: a modern mystery play

When:
Sunday, 14 November 2010, 12:45pm
Where:
Church

LORD OF THE DANCE : a play by Wendy Tansey telling the Christian story from the Creation to Pentecost to celebrate the completion of the new floor in the church will take place on Sunday November 14th at 12.45 for 1.00pm,

Come and see the church as you have never seen it before and never will again - empty, no pews, a perfect space for a performance involving parishioners from all groups and ages.

Bring some finger food to share at the interval, the feeding of the five thousand. Be prepared to move around the church following the action.

Entry free - this is your church, your floor and your play.

It appears your Web browser is not configured to display PDF files, but you can instead download the Lord of the Dance flyer.

THE PLAY

Can't wait!

Lord of the Dance

What a fantastic performance!  Congratulations and huge thanks to everyone involved for a wonderfully memorable afternoon - what a great way to celebrate our 'new' church.  Bravo!

Lord of the Dance

I'm still on a high from yesterday. It was so wonderful to see the church like that.Absolutely amazing acting especially by Giles, I'm sure I wasn't the only one who got choked up at his Garden of Gethsemane scene. Huge congratulations to Wendy, Carmel and everyone else who took part in the play - it was one of the best moments I've ever experienced in the church. I missed the first part of the play while I was at the 1pm Mass but walked in to hear You'll Never Walk Alone being sung (as a Liverpool fan, it was a very very special moment to hear that in the church I've grown up in). I look forward to being able to buy a video of the play - I managed to get some shaky video on my phone at the end of us all dancing around the church and Fr McMillan's speech so that's available to whoever is putting the video together. Thanks Father McMillan for bringing so many people in the church together, I never need reminding why I love this church so much but I got it again yesterday in such a big way.
