RETREAT IN DAILY LIFE 2011

For those who would like to deepen their love of God, but who cannot go away on retreat. It extends over two weeks but most people will opt only for the first or second week.

Whatever you choose, you are very welcome

Week 1 Monday to Friday May 9 – 13

There will be a prayerful talk by Fr Michael Barrow SJ in the Parish Lounge each morning after the 10am Mass and a similar talk each evening at 8pm. Each day there will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in the morning after the talk till 12 noon and in the evening from 5 to 6.30.

Week 2 Sunday to Saturday May 15-21

Praying each day with the daily support of an
experienced director and companion in prayer.

We begin with an introductory meeting at 3 pm in the Upper Parish Hall at 3 pm on Sunday 15th (If you cannot manage this meeting please feel welcome to sign on for the rest of the week)

By meeting, if possible each day, with your guide and setting aside half an hour a day for prayer you can experience more deeply the touch of God in your life. It does not follow a fixed pattern but is tailor-made to find what type of prayer best suits each person. What is shared with your guide is totally confidential.

To arrange Prayer Guides for those who wish to take part in the second week, please submit an application-form by Monday 9th May

Father McMillan would urge as many parishioners as possible to join in this week of Parish Prayer.
