Ministers of Holy Communion

This is a group of about eighty parishioners who, at the request of the Parish Priest, have been commissioned by the Bishop to assist in the administration of Holy Communion at Masses and to the housebound. Duties involve distributing Holy Communion at Sunday Masses about once every four to six weeks and at weekday Masses. Those who visit the housebound are organised into groups of four ministers and visit once every four weeks.

As part of their commitment they attend a Day of Recollection once a year and renew their commitment annually at the Holy Thursday Mass

Any one who is housebound can request a visit to receive Holy Communion on Sunday. To request a visit contact Pat Mitchell directly or via the presbytery.
