WEEK OF ACCOMPANIED PRAYER
Thank you to everyone who took part in the Week of Accompanied Prayer in its various forms. There was a very strong sense of the presence of the Holy Spirit throughout the week. Here are the comments from some of the people who attended the closing ceremony on Saturday evening.
The Prayer Week was a true blessing. Thanks to my prayer guide “Marie” for teaching me new prayer and bringing me closer to understanding and closer to God.
To come, helps me so much. Get me out of my ordinary thoughts, my life, it gives me a wonderful feeling of peace and serenity – a new dimension.
It has been an amazing opportunity to be involved in private and communal prayer, and to pray with the Blessed Sacrament in the church. I loved the talks and the chance to have a Prayer Companion.
This week has been wonderful. Food for the Soul. Once a fortnight or month would be lovely.
It has been a pleasure to do Exposition for the whole week for you all and I have prayed foe all involved in the special week.
A privilege to be asked/invited to be a guide – a very humbling experience and really uplifting.
Inspirational RETREAT / Inspired by the sharing God’s love
I found the week most beneficial. It gave me a fresh view of the meaning and art of praying and relationship to God
As a guide, it was a privilege to experience so much trust and respect (in) the participant and to see God in the person’s life.
The guided prayer was absolutely marvellous. Is it possible if the guides were willing to continue to meet and grow in God’s love through his words once a month or fortnight.
The talks by Fr Duffy were really inspiring and uplifting. They were also a great help to pray on.
Gratitude for the work of the Holy Spirit.
So, so wonderful
It was very helpful to slip off the daily treadmill and to reflect on the Hol Scripture with a companion. Thank you for giving of yourself.
One Word – LOVE. One sentence – It really was a “retreat in everyday life” – while the cacophony of everyday life carried on . I was given a chance to try to single out the “Still Small voice of Calm”
I kept a prayer diary which will / has helped remind me of each days journey. Thank you.
This week has increased a longing for me. A hunger – a thirst that I cannot seem to quench.
A very good week, the Spirit is rollicking away!
The Week was very rewarding – the opportunity to meet and pray with my prayer guide was a very prayerful experience. Thank you to all who organised the week.
I wish it didn’t have to end. A most enlightening experience.
A lovely week where we prayed with poems, paintings, sculpture, Icons and together in silence. A wonderful experience of the gentle movement of the Holy Spirit generating a wonderful sense of peace. Thank you
