The Parish is seeking nominations to fill up to 6 places on the Pastoral Council. Please think about nominating someone who would be an effective member – it might be you!!
DEVELOPING THE PARISH PLAN
You may have decided in the light of the recent announcement about the Jesuits withdrawing from the parish in 2013 that the Plan will not proceed. However, the exact opposite is true! A Plan is now even more necessary to help inform the Archbishop and incoming priests about the parish and its priorities as perceived by the laity and remaining Parish Team. All parishioners are encouraged to participate in developing the Plan either by attending meetings or by sending their ideas to the Pastoral Council c/o the Bookshop. Progress on the four priority areas identified by parishioners is as follows.
How can I help?
The Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) and the Parish Team want as many parishioners as possible to have their say and be involved in the Parish Plan, in whatever way they can. As a first step, please indicate your interest in helping with any of the priorities by ticking one or more of the boxes below. If there is a particular aspect you would be willing help with, e.g. Children’s Mass liturgy or promoting ecumenism, please give details.
Father McMillan will talk about the Parish Plan at Masses next weekend (29/30 September)
In March 2012 parishioners were asked to give their views on matters that needed to be addressed in a new Parish Plan. Responses were received from 67 people. A small working group of parishioners, in consultation with the Parish Pastoral Council, have subsequently developed these responses into the outline Plan below.
We are in the process of forming a team to take forward the ideas & implement any changes resulting from the parish Communication survey & meeting that have been conducted over the last few months.
