Some parishioners may remember Philip Rozario. He has been ordained a priest at Ampleforth this past month. Margaret Duffy went to the ordination mass and has been sent a few pictures. Unfortunately, none give a good view of his face, which could help some of you to identify him by his face. But it is good to rejoice in young men still responding to God's call. He first would have prostrated himself during the litany of the saints invoking the whole heavenly court to support him in his call and in all the years of his faithful ministry. As part of the actual ordination rite the presiding bishop lays hands on Paul. This practice is recorded in one of the early chapters of the Acts of the Apostles, when the early church needed to replace the lost Judas Iscariot.
Please pray for him and all those who have been ordained recently. Two Jesuits who lived in the parish have been ordained in the past month: one in Malta and another in the USA. When I get pictures from those ordinations I will try to get them posted.

Ampleforth Ordination
Those of you who knew Father Philip when he was a member and later president of the Sacred Heart Conference of the Society of St Vincent de Paul will have known him as Paul. His ordination was a very happy occasion in the presence of his 88 year-old father and his mother, brother, sisters and friends on a day when Yorkshire was at its glorious best. He asks for our prayers and remembers us in his.
