The Raphael Pilgrimage was founded by Group Captain Leonard Cheshire in 1954 for the purpose of taking sick and disabled pilgrims to Lourdes and caring for and praying with them throughout their stay. This group travels to Lourdes each September, taking as many sick people as possible, along with our own doctors, nurses and lay helpers.  We welcome new and past helpers of all disciplines. 

This year the Pilgrimage runs from Monday 6th to Friday 10th September.  A coach will be available from Edge Hill to Stansted airport and back.  Accommodation in a four-star hotel close to the Domaine - four nights, full board, sharing a twin room.  Cost £570.00.

We are now assessing applications from sick pilgrims.  The number we can take relies heavily on the availability of nurses and health care assistants.  At present we do not have enough nursing staff to take dependent pilgrims.
